According to IMMPAC's public relations office, Amin Pourzad told the launch ceremony that the association should draw on its members' experience, knowledge and practical capabilities to contribute to decision-making and address obstacles and bureaucracy affecting mining equipment supply and manufacture.
The CEO of Persia Jonoob Industrial Group said the association was genuinely needed to play a role in national policy development and decision-making.
Drawing on his experience in mining and road construction machinery, he said Iran had developed useful infrastructure for both machinery repair and manufacturing. He hoped the association would use consultation and members' expertise to reduce some of the pressures on mines.
Pourzad said problems in different parts of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade often require coordination and intervention. Suppliers and manufacturers whose products and services ultimately go to Iranian mines can become caught in bureaucratic processes beyond their control.
Such problems affect both supply and manufacturing, with the costs and consequences ultimately passed on to mines, whether large, medium-sized or small, he said.
Resolving them requires coordination among the ministry's different departments. Addressing obstacles within the relevant organizations could bring significant benefits to mines.
He said the new association was expected to facilitate processes, reduce friction among manufacturers, suppliers and users, and offer practical help to the mining community.
By bringing parts and machinery suppliers and manufacturers together, the association could encourage exchange of experience and shared thinking, helping remove barriers and develop mining activities, Pourzad concluded.
